USC Video games unveiled the primary recipients of the Gerald A. Lawson.
Lawson college students are college students from the Faculty of Cinematic Arts, Interactive Media and Video games of the Viterbi Faculty of Engineering and Laptop Science – Video games departments.
The field, named after the black engineer who invented one of many earliest gaming gadgets, is ready to launch in 2021 To increase black and indigenous representation in the gaming industry.

In August 2021, Microsoft has joined the Gerald A. Lawson Endowment FundAnd in September 2022, Sony donated $3 million to the effort.
